Mission

“We exist to glorify God, grow in discipleship, and go to the World.”

Glorify God…

At Westwood, everything we do is in pursuit of one goal: to glorify God. This effects our worship, our teaching, our relationships, and the direction of the Church.

Grow in Discipleship…

One of the primary goals for any Church is discipleship. At Westwood, we are passionate about seeing people grow in their relationships with Jesus, and with each other.

Go to the World…

Jesus’ last command to His disciples before He ascended to Heaven was to “Go…” Westwood takes that command to heart, and we are passionate about seeing Jesus-followers rise up from all corners of the Earth.

Our Core Values.

Life together.

At Westwood, one of the things we are passionate about is community. We love to come together, loving one another, doing life together, fellowshipping with each other, encouraging one another, and pushing each other to look more like Christ and doing community together.

Being Biblically sound.

Westwood is a Scripture-saturated church. This means our teaching, worship, ministries, events, and mission are all done with the goal of honoring Christ by following his Word, and where it leads. Scripture is our guide, and has the final word.

Worshipping Jesus.

The Gospel is at the core of who we are at Westwood, and Jesus is at the core of the Gospel. So, everything we do is in pursuit of worshipping our Savior. We do this in the way we teach, the songs we sing, the events we do, and the relationships we build.

Being Gospel-centered.

The Gospel is at the heart of who we are as a Church. Everything we do at Westwood has the Gospel at the center of it. We believe that the Gospel changes lives, and we want everyone who joins us at Westwood to find the life Jesus offers.

Growing as disciples.

Discipleship is at the core of the local Church, and at Westwood, it is an area we are very passionate about, and seek to be strong in. We want to be people that follow Jesus, and obey his command to make disciples that in turn make more disciples..

Sharing the Gospel.

Jesus’ last command while He was on earth was to “make disciples.” We take that command very seriously. Westwood strives to be an evangelistic church. We want the World to know Jesus, and it is our goal to take it to them.
